“I expect to pass through life but once. If, therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do for any fellow being, let me do it now… .”
William Penn (1644-1718)
Summit Healthcare and Hospice volunteers have been serving our patients and families since 2014 with caring expertise and compassion. They are a vital and integral part of the team, providing essential services at our care centers, patients' homes and in nursing homes. Volunteers bring a special touch to our service that enhances the quality of care to our patients and families.
We recognize that volunteers offer valuable skills and unique talents, and we welcome volunteers with a variety of backgrounds and life experiences. Volunteers also give administrative, clerical and facility support and help with fund raising and special assignments.
To compliment individual strengths, we require that our volunteers complete a comprehensive orientation course and make a minimum one-year commitment of two to four hours per week of services to our patients and families. Also, if you have recently experienced the loss of a loved one, we ask that you wait one year before applying to volunteer with us.
For more information on becoming a volunteer, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator by calling our Volunteer Office at 602-535-8255, or use our Contact Us page to send us an email.
